I understand that sometimes life can feel too much, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to someone who is qualified to be available to you in a way that is not always possible in personal relationships.

Therapy can help us to:

Build more awareness of ourselves. This can include our own unique circumstances, emotions, defence mechanisms, the root of our our triggers and obstacles and how we relate to others

Practice acceptance. Awareness without self-acceptance can leave us feeling stuck and alienated from ourselves. If we can get closer to ourselves without self-criticism, we can make more conscious changes and decisions

Learn ways to calm both the body and mind. When we are very anxious or cut off it is hard for us to access ourselves and our emotions. Paying attention to our thought patterns, feelings and our bodily sensations can help to fight through the fog

Build different ways of coping and relating that feel more satisfying

Whilst therapy can leave people feeling empowered or more in control, what comes up can be difficult, painful and/or shameful. This is where I can help.
